Holiday

Together indoors on cold days

In December, life moves indoors: family on the sofa, board games on the floor and long evenings around the table. A rug under the seating area makes the floor more comfortable for bare feet and for children playing on the ground. It also ties cushions, throws and Christmas decorations together.

Holiday rug patterns

A vintage rug with a medallion draws the eye to the centre of the seating area, right under the coffee table where the hot chocolate and Christmas biscuits sit. Patchwork and vintage patterns break up a sleek sofa and add layers, so the room feels more dressed without extra furniture. A chequered pattern brings rhythm to calm furniture and suits an interior with wood, wool and candlelight.

Round Christmas rugs for the dining table

A round rug fits under a round dining table or in a reading corner next to the Christmas tree. Allow 60 to 70 cm extra around a dining table, so the chairs stay on the rug when pulled out. A round table of Ø120 cm calls for a rug of Ø240 cm.
